Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 08, 2026

This Privacy Policy outlines how FileNamer handles data. We believe in minimal data collection and processing transparency.

1. Data Collection & Usage

We do not sell, rent, or monetize your information. We process data strictly to provide and maintain the application infrastructure:

  • Local Processing: All file reading, parameters rendering, and filename preview/rename operations occur locally in your browser. We do not upload your files, filenames, or template specifications to any remote servers.
  • Usage Data: Like most web applications, the servers automatically collect diagnostic metadata when you interact with the platform. This includes your IP address, browser type, visited pages, and the date/time of your interactions.

2. Infrastructure & Service Providers

To deliver a fast, reliable utility, we rely on trusted, industry-standard infrastructure platforms. These services process your data in accordance with their respective security and privacy guidelines:

  • Cloudflare: Used for global web hosting, content delivery network (CDN) acceleration, security firewall mitigation, and standard server activity logging. Cloudflare Privacy Policy

3. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Application Configurations: Any saved templates are kept locally in your browser's local storage. They are not transmitted or stored on remote databases.
  • Infrastructure Server Logs: Operational server telemetry and network security logs (including IP routing data) are kept for a maximum of 24 months strictly for stability troubleshooting, performance metrics, and malicious abuse detection.

4. Legal Compliance & Security

While we apply rigorous, commercially reasonable security layers to guard transit pipelines, no internet protocol or server framework is 100% impenetrable. We do not expose metadata to external corporate parties unless strictly required to comply with an active legal mandate, court subpoena, or valid regulatory enforcement action.

5. Updates & Changes

We update this policy occasionally to align with technical modifications or infrastructure shifts. Any policy updates will be reflected directly on this page with an updated "Last modified" timestamp.
